Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing new client relationships, managing existing client relationships to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability, and expanding current client relationships. The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business through various traditional and non-traditional sales practices, territory planning and relationship building. Areas of concentration will include sales promotion, games and sweepstakes administration, fulfillment services, legal services, as well as print and premiums. This position reports to the Director of Client Services. Travel is minimal.

 

Requirements:

 

  • MINIMUM of 3 years experience in a sales role specific to Games, Sweepstakes, Contests, and Fulfillment
  • Strong background in sales with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the operational aspects of promotional marketing - primarily Sweepstakes, Contests, Games, and Fulfillment
  • Strong network of contacts in marketing, promotions, and advertising industries is a plus
  • Must demonstrate a problem-solver mentality; ability to anticipate and think critically; always seeking to improve oneself or internal systems & processes
  • Resilient, persistent personality with strong closing skills
  • Willingness and ability to work on long-term sales on commission basis
  • Ability to set and achieve goals, working independently but knowing when to solicit help
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ambition combined with patience
