Gatorade sought out MRI to develop an engaging campaign that would excite consumers and celebrate Gatorade’s 50th anniversary. Gatorade wanted to have unique codes printed under the cap on all of their products, something that had never been done before with the Gatorade brand.
Gatorade encouraged users to “Sweat with the Best” by buying specially-marked bottles of Gatorade and entering their code at www.sweatwiththebest.com. Consumers who entered their code would have a chance to win special Gatorade prizes and be entered into a sweepstakes for unique fan athletic experiences with professional athletes. Users could win meet and greets and the chance to train with famous athletes like Peyton Manning, trips to sporting events such as the MLB Home Run Derby and much more!
MRI generated and managed 1.6 Billion codes for Gatorade Sweat with the Best. MRI also managed the production and security of all codes for the promotion, reviewing codes printed underneath Gatorade bottle caps, stickers and additional promotional product. MRI continued to oversee the promotion by reviewing random product samples from the production facilities, conducting facility audits to ensure procedures were in place for the management and security of codes and consulting with all suppliers. The promotion was a huge success creating discussion and excitement around Gatorade’s 50th anniversary online and amongst sports fans.
